Court Hotel Mito

It's under a ten minute walk from the station and is value for money. Check in and out is prompt, there's a convenience store on the corner, and you can buy drinks and snacks in the lobby. Free coffee is also provided in the lobby.

Having freshly arrived in Japan merely days previously, the hotel was incredibly easy to get to (despite the strong wind on my arrival!), being an easy few blocks from the station, and it's location proved convenient throughout my stay. Once there I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and generous member of hotel staff who not only quickly checked me in but, at my requesting, also helped to plan almost my entire weekend of sightseeing - his enthusiasm to assist overcame our great language barrier. His recommendations of visits and eateries were invaluable and my trip would have been far inferior (more expensive, less authentic, less rich) had it not been for him - i am incredibly grateful for the timehe gave to me. I really felt as though the staff would do whatever they could to ensure my stay was as good as could be. Also, the hotel had bikes to rent which made the local area so much more accessible and getting about more affordable and stressfree (even though the bike definitely wasn't made for someone 194cm tall!) - for exanple, it was quicker and cheaper to cycle to Hitachi Seaside Park than to take the buses there.

Really great facilities. Free tea and coffee in the foyer. Kettle in the room with tea. Comfy beds. Smart TV so can login to Netflix! Lovely staff.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful even with the language barrier. The Location was perfect with the station being, at most, a 5 minute walk. Excellent area with the river being close by. All in all, very nice experience :)

Location was great, car parking available. Friendly staff., Rooms were very clean.
